Delmeco provided the complete electrical and instrumentation installation (E&I) for the renovation of the second terminal (VTF2). The second terminal consists of twelve storage tanks. The tank terminal was renovated in two phases (2 x 6 tanks). The tanks were renovated mechanically and fitted with new instruments, piping and pump installations.

In this assignment the fields of electrical engineering and automation overlapped. It comprised:

• The execution of the detail engineering based on the basic design;
• Delivery and instalment of the entire E&I installation. The installation mainly consists of:
  • Delivering and installing all cables and cable guiding;
  • Delivering and installing the CCTV installation;
  • Delivering and installing all distribution and control panels;
  • Connecting all instrumentation (a.o. pumps, MOVs, and the entire tank guarding and security);
  • Fitting all terminal lighting;
  • Fitting earthing and a potential equalisation installation;
  • Expanding the existing fire safety installation;
• Starting up the E&I installation;
• Running a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) for the distribution and control panels;
• Running a SAT (Site Acceptance Test) on location at Vesta.

For this project, it was Delmeco’s responsibility to complete and deliver turn-key and operating, the I&E of the second Vesta terminal (VTF2).
