Due to the increasing waste stream of discarded LCD screens, Delmeco designed, built, and installed a complete processing line for Sims Recycling Solutions. The installation is specifically developed for the safe and responsible recycling of LCD screens, with full compliance to both occupational health (HSE) and environmental regulations.

The scope of work included:

  • Design and construction of support frames and platforms

  • Design and construction of control panels and automation system

  • Supply and installation of various conveyor systems

  • On-site electrical and mechanical installation in Eindhoven

  • Execution of a Site Acceptance Test (SAT)

The installation comprises, among other components:

  • Two chain conveyors: from feed-in to shredder, and from shredder to furnace

  • A shredder to reduce material size

  • A furnace for evaporating released substances and vapors

  • Multiple conveyor belts

  • A complete air handling system for dust extraction and filtration, including air supply

  • Various platforms, stairs, and supporting structures

  • Multiple control cabinets, cable trays, cabling, service switches, and connectors

This installation enables LCD screens to be efficiently processed back into their base materials. Delmeco delivered the entire project as a turn-key solution—from design and construction to on-site installation and final commissioning.
