The original crane boom was extended from 17 to 20 metres.
Besides that, the crane has been prepared for the addition of a detachable extension module. This will allow for a further 5-metre reach and includes a second winch.
Various load configurations can be selected with a key oprated switch, with electronically controlled load limits.
The installation is certified in accordance with DNV ST-0377 (Shipboard Lifting Appliances).
In addition to the crane, Delmeco also designed the deck layout. Ensuring that all necessary provisions were in place to store the LNG hoses in their rest position and to provide sufficient space for the LNG transfer equipment.
The scope of the project in the disciplines mechanical- and electrical engineering and automation included:
-
Modification of an existing hydraulic jib crane
-
Extension of the crane boom
-
Electrical modifications with ajustable configurations
-
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), on-board installation, and Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
