As part of the renovation of the second terminal at Vesta Terminal Flushing (VTF2), Delmeco designed, supplied, and installed the complete electrical and instrumentation (E&I) system. The terminal consists of 12 storage tanks and was renovated in two phases. During the renovation, the tanks were equipped with new instrumentation, piping, and pump systems. Delmeco was responsible for the entire E&I scope—from detailed engineering to commissioning.

The scope for the electrical and automation disciplines included:

  • Performing the detailed engineering based on the basic design

  • Supplying and installing the entire E&I installation, including:

    • Supply and installation of all cables and cable management systems

    • Supply and installation of the CCTV system

    • Supply and installation of all distribution and control panels

    • Connection of all instrumentation (including pumps, motor-operated valves (MOVs), and the full tank monitoring and safety systems)

    • Installation of all terminal lighting

    • Installation of earthing and equipotential bonding systems

    • Expansion of the existing fire protection system

    • Commissioning of the E&I installation

    • Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the distribution and control panels

    • Site Acceptance Test (SAT) at the Vesta location

With this installation, VTF2 has been fully modernized and is now ready for the safe and efficient storage and transfer of fuels. Delmeco delivered the entire E&I scope on a turn-key basis—from design to final handover.
