What is a hose tower?
A hose tower is designed to guide one or more hoses from a jetty or quay to (oil) tankers for the loading and unloading of liquids and gases. The crane lifts the hose on board the vessel, while the winch and sliding beam support precise hose positioning during handling.
Because a hose tower can be equipped with multiple hoses, it is possible to load and unload different types of liquids, even simultaneously. The number of hoses used is determined in consultation with the client. A hose tower offers a flexible and safe solution for working with hoses.
A typical hose tower is equipped with:
-
Multiple flexible hoses
-
One or more telescopic cranes
-
Hydraulic winches
-
Sliding beams
Delmeco has designed, delivered, and installed hose towers for a variety of clients worldwide. Our hose towers are in daily use in major ports, including the Port of Rotterdam.
