NEN-EN-ISO 3834-2 – Guaranteed Welding Quality

At Delmeco Projecten, quality is our top priority — especially when it comes to welding.
That’s why we’re proud to be certified in accordance with the NEN-EN-ISO 3834-2 standard.
This international standard defines comprehensive quality requirements for welding processes and is specifically designed for companies involved in critical structures and high-responsibility applications.

What Does NEN-EN-ISO 3834-2 Involve?

The ISO 3834 series is the leading standard for quality assurance in welding.
Part 2 of this standard — the most comprehensive level — sets a high bar. It defines strict requirements for:

  • The competence and qualification of welders

  • The supervision and assessment of welding procedures

  • Quality control during and after welding

  • Full traceability of materials and welding activities

NEN-EN 1090-1 – Guaranteed Quality in Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium

Delmeco Projecten is proud to be certified in accordance with the NEN-EN 1090-1 standard, up to and including Execution Class 3 (EXC 3), for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium structures.

This certification enables us to design and manufacture high-quality, CE-marked structural components that meet strict European requirements for safety, reliability, and performance.

What is NEN-EN 1090-1?

NEN-EN 1090-1 is a European standard that is mandatory for all companies that bring load-bearing steel or aluminium structures on the market within the European Union.
It defines the conditions for applying the CE marking to structural components. The standard requires, among other things:

  • A fully operational Factory Production Control (FPC) system

  • Demonstrable control of manufacturing and welding processes

  • Traceability of materials and components

  • Quality control and final inspections based on documented procedures

  • Compliance with technical execution standards (EN 1090-2 for steel, EN 1090-3 for aluminium)

  • Execution Class 3 (EXC 3) for steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

With our certification up to EXC 3, we are authorized to deliver structural components for applications with high safety or risk profiles — in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.

This execution class includes strict requirements for design, material selection, welding procedures, and final inspection — all areas in which Delmeco Projecten is fully certified and highly specialized.

CE Marking and European Compliance

Thanks to our EXC 3 certification for stainless steel and aluminium, we are authorized to apply the CE marking to our products — proof that they comply with relevant European regulations and standards.
